I am missing my Swedish family!

Oh, I forgot the best piece of advice:

Always have an American at your table as we will help finish everyone's food and we are not afraid to finish the last piece of anything on the serving plate! Let's practice: "Are you going to finish that?" "Does anyone want that last slice of cheese....? Oops, too late!"

Big hugs! Here we have a...Well said, as always, dear Paula!

Here we have a saying, "Never go grocery shopping when you are hungry!" and that is true for me. If I do, I buy things I wouldn't otherwise buy, and too much of it, and it goes to waste. Also, I always go with a list and try to stick with it.

If I know I'm going to have a very busy week with no extra trips to the grocery store except the weekly visit, I will buy extra lunch meat (what we use on our sandwiches) and will put half of it in the freezer so it doesn't go bad until we need it.

Also, although I like fresh fruit I know I won't eat all of it before it goes bad (and Jer doesn't eat it). So, I buy fresh frozen organic peaches and blueberries, and sometimes strawberries. I'll pack a container in my lunch box, only as much as I know I'll eat, and it not only serves as a cold pack it also thaws just in time for lunch.

Like you, I try to be mindful of not letting food go to waste. There are many people who don't have enough to eat, even where we live.

Kram! K.Kelly Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15014737417348480168noreply@blogger.com
